‘Over-optimization’ is not a new term but lots of SEOs start taking about it more often now with every Google Panda update because we here all the time about websites ‘bitten’ by that black and white animal launched by Google to punish low quality websites and those websites which try to game rankings by over optimizing.

It is now out of the question that lots of things that used to work a year ago, now do not work. Moreover, lots of SEO tactics are now dangerous and harmful. Naturally the question arises:

What I Might Be Doing Wrong?
In this article I will guide you through some common SEO problems might be related to your websites. Naturally, they are divided into two main groups: internal and external.

INTERNAL

1. Duplicate content

There are lots of articles about SEO-friendly website copywriting can be found on different blogs and all of them tech how to write content in the right way. But, even you have quality articles on your website, but they appear several times under different URLs, that is considered to be a duplicate content within your website and might be a cause for a penalty.
Partial duplicate content is another problem. If you an owner of an online store and have same items with the same descriptions under different categories, that might too get you in a trouble.

2. Spammy Website Organization
By ‘spammy website organization’ I mean:

Several pages dedicated to the same or almost the same keyword.

It is commonly believed that the narrower the page is optimized, the better rankings it would enjoy on Google. It might have been a really good tactic before the Panda release, but now it is a strong signal of over optimization to Google.

Website copy stuffed with variations of your key phrase

Almost every SEO supposed to know what I am talking about. Lots of us (if not all) used to practice this way of optimizing page for a wide range of key phrases neglecting real value for users and common sense.

No (or almost no) website copy, but lots of website structure

As well as before, Google still loves text content. Now, even more than before and if your website has lots of internal links pointing to different places of your website, but you have poor website copies written or have no text content at all, that might get you into serious problems in future. Describe your product in a natural way, the way your visitors will be happy to read about it. It is really possible to create Panda-friendly website with usability basis.

But how do I make the page relevant without using keywords? I want it to be relevant!!!

First of all, if you write about your product the right keywords and phrases will be used by themselves, just make sure you don’t repeat them all the time.

Second, you have a TITLE tag of the page, where you can put the most important key phrase.

3. Title tags stuffed with key phrases

You should make your title tags sound natural to. It will remove the risk to be penalized and give you more benefits from the marketing and CTR (click through rate) prospective.
If your website has to deal with a title tag issue only, then it is not really dangerous to some extends, but along with other issues, this might cause real problems.

EXTERNAL

External signals of over optimization fall under one single phrase – ‘spammy link building tactics’. I will give here couple of most common examples of how your link building strategy might look spammy in Google Panda’s eyes.

1. Blog comments

There is nothing actually bad about blog commenting, if done correctly, of course. World Wide Web is full of website offering blog commenting services, but how many of them do it naturally? There tones of websites where comments are not moderated and you can place a link. Lots of SEOs neglect:

The number of external links there are on the page where they are about to place a link

The topic of the blog

The fact that comments are full of spammy links placed by others

As the result they make another contribution to decreasing the trust rate of the blog and thus increasing your own chances to get penalized too. Does a user name ‘Buy Ugg Boots’ sound natural? Definitely not! Anchor text keywords still matters, but you must be really careful about how your website content is linked to.

2. Blog reviews

You should be careful with blog reviews too. Blog review is a blog article written for money by some blogger which contains links to your website. Usually they allow 2-3 links per review. One of the most popular services to purchase such content is sponsoredreviews.com, where rates start from $5. If you have a look at least one of these blogs, you will be able to make sure there is nothing in common with natural blogging. Bloggers earn money but gaming Google’s search results. Now it is dangerous to purchase reviews from these blogs even if you ask for a review with a natural link (e.g.: your domain or company name as an anchor).

3. Blog networks
Again… there is nothing wrong or bad about having several blogs to promote your products, but it should be done correctly too. With this updates of Panda algorithms spammy blog networks where hit. For example, buildmyrank.com is already refunding their clients because all of them lost their rankings.

How to tell the blog belongs to a spammy network?

Usually it is quite simple. These are blogs with a default theme (with no or almost no custom design), low quality content and keyword-rich link anchor texts.

Google official blogs are too blog network, but what makes them different from spammy networks?

Quality content

Natural external linking

Natural interlinking with each other

Natural back link profile

I strongly recommend you to reconsider your SEO strategy to more natural one. Focus on quality of the content that appears on the web under the name of your company. Build a user-friendly website and link to your content naturally.

Once ‘bitten’ by Panda you will not be able to recover next day you fix all the issues. It might take up to 7 month! Does your business deserve such decay?

First I have learned about it at searchengineland.com. On the 24th of March Google announced a new updated of Panda algorithm. Google weeted that only 1.6% of search queries were affected, while as blog entry has a different number – 11.8%.

Once again Google states that it is going to be huge ‘algorithmic improvement’ to their ranking. Every time we learn about some changes in anything related to Google, we can see the following reasons highlighted:

Remove spammy or low quality websites from SERPs (Search Engine Result Page).

Reduce rankings for websites with few unique content and website which bring no real value to consumers

Reward websites with high-quality content and analysis

ProfCopy.com is a Panda-friendly website with 100% unique content, but we too faced some negative changes in rankings probably a week or so ago. Namely our Blog Writing Service page ranked top 9, then it was thrown to the 6th or 7th page for 3 or 4 days. Fortunately, today our page ranks top 9 again.

How to Use Twitter Hashtags

The article was written by the copywriter with 1122 ID. You can request this copywriter to complete your writing tasks via the contact form.

Whether you can’t survive the day without logging onto Twitter, or whether you’ve only just set up an account, you are likely to have come across tweets which include the # sign, e.g., #newyork. If you’re wondering if this is some kind of strange, secret language, think again. They’re called ‘hashtags’ and there’s a very good (and simple) reason why people use them.

1. What are Hashtags?
If used correctly, hashtags can help promote your business or personal thoughts and ideas, by publicising your message to like-minded or interested individuals.

The hashtag symbol is used to precede a keyword or phrase that enables other Twitter users to search for relevant tweets containing that particular hashtag. Twitter’s search facility can only backdate tweets up to a week-old, so you might find third party applications such as Topsy useful if you want to search for archived tweets.

2. Why Should I Use Hashtags?
Hashtags are handy for finding and getting involved in conversations and hot topics that you’re interested in. Hashtags give you access to a wide variety of Twitter users who you’re most likely not following. As long as a person’s Twitter account is set to public, any hashtag that they use will be searchable. For example, if you search Twitter for #NFL, you’ll be able to read all tweets containing the NFL hashtag that refer to the National Football League.

If you want to use hashtags, you can either create your own or use existing ones. If you decide to tweet about the Oscars, for example, using the #oscars hashtag could get your tweet read by thousands of people. Hashtags transcend the boundaries of just those people who are following your account. They allow you to engage in conversations about topics of mutual interest and may inspire you to follow some of the Twitter users that you come across.
Remember that the more popular the topic of the hashtag, the more tweets you’ll have to keep up with. However, if you want to be involved in the conversation, use the official hashtag rather than starting a new one.

3. Using Hashtags for Business
Hashtags can help create discussion amongst your followers, so if you’re running a promotion or holding a sale, take advantage. Include a relevant hashtag at the end of your tweets and encourage your followers to use it also. You could think about awarding prizes to those who use it the most by monitoring your hashtag on a regular basis. Hashtags are particularly valuable if you’re hosting an event; they encourage discussion around the event before-hand, help promote it and let potential attendees see who else may be turning up.

If you want to get your business or product noticed, hashtags can be extremely useful. Make sure you create a unique hashtag and, if possible, ensure your business’ name is included in it. Pick a hashtag that is both memorable and concise.

On the right hand side of your Twitter home page, you’ll find a real-time list of trending topics. You can filter this list to see trends in various geographical locations. If you want to get your hashtag trending, you’ll need to write several tweets over a short space of time. If you can muscle in on a currently trending hashtag, you can quickly highlight your business to a wide audience.

Keeping an eye on your hashtag, or other ones of interest, is easy to do using third-party applications like Hootsuite or TweetDeck. Here you can monitor hashtags via dedicated search columns.

Finally, keep your hashtags simple and relevant. Don’t include copious amounts of hashtags in your tweets as your key message can get lost in the process. If they’re not appropriate, don’t use them; try to stick to a maximum of three hashtags per tweet, although often just one will suffice.

Now that you’ve got the lowdown on how Twitter hashtags work, you can start searching, monitoring and creating them to increase brand awareness and keep up with your competitors.

The article was written by the copywriter with 1121 ID.

You can request this copywriter to complete your writing tasks via the contact form.

If you run a website, Google Analytics can be one of your most helpful website
management tools. With the use of Google Analytics, collecting statistics on your
website’s visitors is not only simple, it is almost effortless. Google Analytics is packed
with powerful tools that many people have never heard of. By taking advantage of
techniques that make use of these tools, you can start making your website more
successful. The three best techniques for helping your website grow in popularity are as
follows: 1, Paying attention to the Site Speed report, 2, enabling site search, and 3, taking
advantage of real-time reporting.

A lot of website owners overlook the importance of page load times. They do not give a lot of thought to how fast their web pages load. This is a big mistake because one of the most important factors involved in determining how long website visitors stay is page load times. The faster your web pages load, the longer your visitors will stay, and the more profit you can make from your website.

Google Analytics Site Speed

Google Analytics Site Speed report is a wonderful way to gauge how fast your web pages
are loading for the majority of your visitors. All you have to do is go to the content
section of Google Analytics and click on the Site Speed report section. There are only a
couple of tabs within the Site Speed report: Performance, Explorer, and Map Overlay.
Click on all the tabs and review all the information, and you will gain a good overview of
everything related to your page load times. If you use this information to help you reduce
speed bottlenecks, you can help your website load faster for more visitors.

Site Search

The speed web pages load at isn’t the only thing that draws visitors in: Having a site
search box is also important. If visitors to your site can search within your site, they will
be more likely to browse for extended periods of time and make purchases from you. To
add a search box to your site, ensure you have a search form on your site and then enable
site search in Google Analytics. Once you do that, all the visitors to your site will be able
to search to their heart’s content.

Real-time Reporting

If you change your website frequently, you probably will love Google Analytics real-time
reporting feature. Go to the Home menu in Google Analytics and click on the Real-Time
section. You will then have the option of looking at real-time reporting data on your
current visitors’ locations and what they are viewing. Use this data to find out what your

visitors like and what you can do to make your website more appealing to them. The
more appealing your website becomes to your target market, the better your sales will be.

Owning and running a website isn’t easy. It can be a lot of work to attract new visitors
and make sure your regular visitors remain happy. Google Analytics isn’t a magical tool
that will solve all your website problems, but if you take the time to learn about its Site
Speed report, site search functions, and real-time reporting capabilities, you will be well
on your way to increasing your website’s traffic. Take action and use Google Analytics to
make your website the best it can be.

Google’s new Display Network, formerly known as the Content Network, hides pitfalls for the inexperienced and those who use it without taking the time to develop a cogent, complete advertising plan. Many clients simply launch campaigns, fuel them with investment after investment, and end up disappointed by a low return. What’s worse is that your competitors may be using the tool extremely effectively to draw in new customers and expand their online visibility.

A key thing to remember is that end users who search using the Display Network spend 95% of their time browsing websites, not filtering through results. It’s crucial that you use proven strategies to get their attention and, most importantly, get them to your site. With that in mind, let’s focus on a few basic but effective strategies for getting a quality return on your investment through the Google Display Network.

The Contextual Targeting Tool
One of the most common and most damaging mistakes that Display Network advertisers make is sticking to a “launch and hope for the best” strategy. Quite simply, there is no need for guesswork if you take the time to learn now to use the site’s Contextual Targeting tool.

This tool allows you to enter your most important keywords and create dozens of tightly themed ad groups with just a few clicks of your mouse. The ad groups come complete with bid suggestions and a preview of where your ads will show up on the Display Network, right down to the URL level.

You can also use a related tool, the Placement Tool, to get a sense of where your ads will be placed on the Display Network results page. You can filter by type and placement category, depending on whether you’re launching a mobile, website or video ad campaign, and gather impression estimates from numerous ad types and enjoy the benefits of easy click-throughs to website profiles.

Make Customers Remember You
Do you want to make your company and your brands seem “bigger?” If so, the Display Network’s remarketing features can help.

You can target people who have visited your website but not completed a transaction to help your company and its products remain prominent and on their minds while they make a decision. By making strategically targeted and affordable bids, you can remarket to website visitors over periods typically ranging from 7 to 30 days. You can also extend or contract the remarketing period to make it shorter or longer, depending on your budget.

The value of remarketing is that it creates a sense of “omnipresence” of your brands and products in the eyes of consumers. Your ads will seem to be everywhere they turn, a technique which is known to create a stronger sense of consumer confidence in your company.

Control Your Costs
Google also adjusted the Display Network’s Display Ad Builder tool, allowing you to quickly and easily create eye-catching ads in your choice of 7 different display sizes. Combined with the site’s Retail template, the Display Ad Builder tool offers precision cost control by only charging you for the ad once a consumer clicks on a product and is redirected to your company website.

Businesses new to keyword advertising may wonder whether or not it is beneficial to bid on their own branded keywords. Generally, they want to know if they can improve ROI or save money if they choose not to bid on their keywords. This poses a good question and one that does not have a simple answer. Since each click cost money, it does make sense that not bidding would save money. It is also reasonable that one might focus on the cost of branded keywords at first, instead of the value because cost is measurable, while value is more difficult to calculate.
There are times when it is difficult to measure the effects of branded exposure in dollar amounts, as branded keywords usually have conversions of pennies on the dollar and extremely high profitability, but only for the immediate, measurable traffic. The long-term effects of residual traffic take longer to see. Because some effects are more difficult to measure, it makes sense to spend more on the branded keywords, not less.
Bidding on your own branded keywords is a good idea and good investment for several reasons.

Professional Appearance- A top-of-the-page ad makes the company look well-established. This suggests that the company is awaiting the visitor and welcoming them to the site.

Improved traffic control- A paid ad can direct customers to the site’s best page, picked by you and not Google’s crawl. The homepage is not always the best landing page. Choose the site’s best, well-designed page with a higher conversion rate as a landing page.

Two links are better than one- Having one more link on a page makes your site easier to find. It also puts one more link in your control and another chance to create a good impression for your company.

Avoid customer distraction- If a customer is on their way to shop from you site, you do not want the competitors’ ads to distract them. Bid on yours and be the first to catch the customer’s eye.

If you don’t bid, someone else will- Competitor’s ads appear for your terms as well and can reduce your sales and customer loyalty, not to mention eat away at your potential profits and bottom line.

Get the advantage- Companies that do not bid on their own branded keywords make it financially easier for their competitors to do so. When competitors bid on your branded keywords, placing your ad alongside theirs can raise their cost substantially. This means yours will likely have a better position, higher CTR and a better quality score. In addition, you will reduce your competitors conversion rates, lower their position, increase their CPA and diminish traffic volume, while forcing them to raise their bids to compete.

You prepare customers for their visit- A paid search ad has the ability to reroute a visitor’s attention to specific issues or events. For example, if your company is having a special promotion or sale, branded ads are the best method to announce such events. Branded ads are also great for other company news, such as product launches, contests, mottos and testimonials. You can also take care of public relations or clarifications.

Over the last few years Google has released a plethora of new ad formats that are functional as well as eye catching. This allows you to be creative with your ads and increase your company’s value, while offering a better user experience. The new ad formats include click-to-call mobile ads, location extensions, site links, phone extensions and seller ratings. The click-to-call ads only show on mobile devices. Location extensions put a map of your store under your ad. Site links allows you to send traffic for up to four more highly-targeted pages. Phone extensions track phone calls from your AdWords ads. Seller ratings place a four or five star rating beside your ad.
Since each company’s advertising situation is unique, clicking on your own branded keywords may not be best for all situations. However, branded ads can be used and tested very efficiently and help influence both customer perception and direct sales for the company.

It’s true that marketing snake oil will only get you so far for so long. But it’s also true that if no one knows you’re there, it doesn’t matter how good what you’re selling is, your days in business are numbered.

The new tricks
New technology is changing the game of marketing, allowing a more nuanced, pin point targeted approach to customers. Why people buy hasn’t changed, what’s changed is how and when they shop. According to Nielson people spend 15 minutes out of every hour on the computer on social media sites, and the trend is upward. Unlike watching television, where we are pretty much inured to the belief that the products advertised are the best simply because the ads say they are, visitors to the friendly village of social media are more open to the products their friends, or just happy customers say are worthwhile. You’re more likely to visit the restaurant your co-worker recommends than the one you see in an ad out of the yellow pages. Thus, we’re all shopping more and more of the time as we’re introduced to products and services not directly and aggressively promoted, but subtly endorsed by people we have no reason to distrust.

Make life easier for you customers
Successful businesses and unsuccessful businesses alike proceed from the same truism: “Find a need and fill it.” However, thinking of the customer needs first as opposed to revenue first is difficult and worth it in the long run. Once you have something genuinely good for the customer, something that helps them do something faster, better or cheaper your job is to communicate in the simplest, most customer friendly way. You should talk about your product in a way that helps them distinguish your products from the alternatives, and do it in an upbeat, entertaining way.

You don’t have to be on top to succeed
New ways of connecting to customers looking for you through social media offer a very cost effective revolution in marketing. But there are some pitfalls to avoid in playing the new marketing games.

You shouldn’t confuse finding your customers with the necessity of being #1 in your category. Doing the things you need to do to be #1 doesn’t necessarily translate into more customers for you. Consider how best to gain exposure for your business that doesn’t necessarily involve being at the top of the page on a search. It’s good if you can be, but you don’t have to be there to drastically increase your sales.

It’s about the opportunity not your competitors
Another pitfall is to focus on competing with the market leader rather than understanding and aggressively pursuing the opportunities available in the market. There’s probably room for you to succeed right along with your already successful competitors.

Conclusion
The central relationship in business is between you and your customer. Blogging and social media provide an exciting new platform for maintaining the most ideal of situations, where you value your customers and they in turn value you and then tell their friends. It’s almost like it’s a win/win situation!

As an interface design practitioner, I am constantly trying to improve my craft by focusing on the design of a usable interface. My job is a lot easier when I do not have tasks that overlap. Even though the web is constantly changing, the fundamental elements are still intertwined. User experience design (UX) and search engine optimization (SEO) are standards that are used together. Although both of these tasks are essential for development, they are not usually performed together. When combined, you have a website that a reader can find in the search engines and use with minimal skill required.

My Website Is Usable, Why Should I Worry About SEO?

A usable website is only the beginning of keeping traffic. There are thousands of website templates with beautiful graphics, working links and user pathways, but none of this matters if the site isn’t showing up in the search engines. For the average business, SEO is even more important than usability. It is important for any website to have a clear layout so the reader will know how to navigate through it, but getting traffic is a battle that must won through search engines.

Relevancy And Context

The target audience is going to play a major part in the UX design of your website. Your readers are going to have expectations for your website. These expectations will include the functionality, the path of accomplishing a task and the “feel” of the site. Having bad links, complicated ways of contacting a webmaster or sales team and minimal functionality will discourage the reader from using your website. Having an excellent user experience design can help the visitor find what they need quickly.

The content on your website is going to outweigh the design, but only by a little. The relevancy of your content to the search that brought them to your website is going to play a big part in keeping them on your site. The content should be aesthetically pleasing while giving them high quality information. The search engine links should take the users to relevant pages on your site instead of taking them to your homepage.

Can Great UX Coexist With SEO?

In theory, this coexistence is vital to bringing in traffic and keeping it on your website. Having descriptive page name and section headings on your website will help the user navigate through your content. This is also critical for showing up in the search engine results. Section and page titles are the first thing that a visitor will see so it’s important to have these optimized for search engines and your readers. Using keywords in your headings as well as in your text is a good method of delivering UX as well as SEO.

ALT Tags And Images

ALT tages and images are another way that you can give UX and SEO. Adding an alternate text to images will allow your users to put their cursor over the image and read more about the page attached to the link. This is an easy way to give readers information without them having to click on the next webpage. If you have images without ALT tags then you are not hurting your SEO, you’re just not helping it.

Long Link Names And Links To Other Sites

In the past, links were very short. While this might look clean, it doesn’t help the usability or the SEO for a webpage. Long link names are the new standard and the best practice for user experience design. When you provide a string of meaningful text that is hyper-lined you keep users well informed while incorporating keywords into your page. This can also give search engines a strong signal to the interrelated thematic nature of your website’s content.

Outbound links to other websites create credibility for your site and they also enhance social networking. Social networking is rewarded by search engines and can improve your page rank. You should be careful about the amount of outbound links that you have on your site. If you are linking out to low quality content, your website could drop in the rankings.

Content Is King

As discussed before, your content is the most important aspect to your webpage. Well written articles and blog posts will give users the information they need while meeting their expectations and supporting your brand. Well-written content can inspire conversion on sales pages and generate engagement with your readers. While most users will not read everything on your website, structuring the information in a way that it communicated the most relevant ideas to the user and the search engines is the best way to boost your ranking.

7 Ideas to Help Your Website to Convert More Visitors into Clients

Increasing conversion rates is something that the whole team developing any website is (or at least should be) concerned about, but primary this is a headache of stake holders and marketing team. Before thinking on how you can turn more visitors into clients you should clearly acknowledge that no one can create a website with 100% conversion rate, because all people are different, they are in different moods when they are browsing your website; they also have different reason to browse it.

There are lots of people who browse your website without an intention to make a purchase, even if they come to your website via PPC advertising. Very often people use online stores (not review websites) to research the product, compare details of it to choose which one is best for them in order to purchase it at a later time.
Regardless the intention of the consumer, there are certain tactics that might be really helpful. Some of them might work for your business and some of them might not, this is why it is very important to test any innovation or improvement on your website.

So, what might help you to convert more visitors into clients?

Discounts
Do not shy to offer discounts to your clients. Remember, people do not buy products or services, they buy emotions connected with the purchase. Besides, you would really like to sell more even if earning less within one purchase, because overall profit will be might higher when you sell more times at lower cost.

When offering discounts you doesn’t necessary have to give them on everything you sell. Selecting a certain type of product or services with a discounted cost might be a good idea if you want to highlight it.

Placing your discount offer in the most prominent part of your website is not always a good idea, as it reduces the value of the discount provided. Make it still visible but do not promote it as if the discount itself is more important than the services/product you offer. Make the visitor feel lucky they found out you offer a discount for them to be more happy to use it.

Freebees
People are greedy in their nature and they love to get something for free, like an e-book or catalog, for instance.
There are two ways you can use that freebees option to engage people with your website.

Give it in exchange for their email address to which you can send promotion emails later, not spamming.

Give something for free if the order runs to a certain sum or they purchase the needed number of items.

There is, actually, a lot of space for creativity. Mentioned ideas above are only basic concepts that can be developed into whatever you feel might be working better for your business.

Limited in Time Offers
Limited time offers are usually discounts that can be redeemed before a certain date only and usually applicable for certain type of products only. This might work well for people whose intention is to purchase exactly what you offer (certain model of an LCD TV-set or a Laptop with parameters whey were looking for) or a thing that is very close to what they need, because it touches the feeling of missing a unique and valuable offer.

The deadline to use an offer should not be too short. Don’t force them to make a decision within one or two days. Remember, when making any choice, first they might need to ask for an opinion of their spouse or boss, when purchasing goods for the company needs, for instance. This is especially true, if your offer is a little bit different from the consumer’s expectation but still suitable enough.

Gift Certificates
Have you ever counted how many times a year you had to choose a present for a person you don’t know well enough to pick up a good one? Have you ever counted how many times you were cornered by the decision? Gift certificates are good because all people in the world face that problem very often. They want a present to be good, because they care, but the choices are so big that it is easy to get lost if you don’t know what the best gift would be for sure.

Offer them a good way out, save them from that difficult choice to make. Gift certificates are good if you have several variations of what is to be purchased for a gift. Let’s say some one is looking for a present for a Metallica fan, browsing your band clothes store. The task seems pretty easy at a first glance, but you have 20 different T-shirts available for purchase. Oops, which one would he or she likes better? A gift certificate solves the problem; the birthday boy goes to your store and picks up the T-shirts himself.

Social Recognition
Everyone wants to be a part of something, this is why we join the clubs, go to concerts and pull for some baseball team. If you have a FaceBook page and there are many fans, don’t be shy to show off with that. FaceBook fan page widget is a good way to show people do like you. The widget has a very good peculiarity: if I entered your website being logged in to FaceBook.com and one of my FaceBook friends has already liked your fan page, the widget will show me his gravatar. Isn’t that cool?

If you don’t have a FaceBook page then you must create one. Ask your friends and colleagues to ‘like’ your page, ask as many people as you can to do it. People are more likely to ‘like’ the page too if there are many likes already. You should ask them not to create a community but join it. It is very difficult at the very beginning because you have to start with something, but the more friends you have, the easier to increase the number.

Depending on which social network website is more authority in your industry you can add widgets or at least links to other websites like Google+, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.

Association with Well-Known Names
Providing an associational line between your company and brands known either all over the world or between people in your industry can also be extremely rewarding, as some of their power can be rendered to your brand and make it stronger too.

The first way is to show these well-known companies are your client list (more suitable for B2B services). Small companies will be more comfortable and secure to have business with you, knowing an industry giant does the same. Again, this will be a sound proof you are professional service provider. If there are no big names in your client list, you’d better not provide fake examples, as it might lead to unpleasant consequences, when revealed.

The second way to achieve association with powerful brands is to show they talk about you. Usually can be noticed and written about by some non-commercial websites or new papers like USAToday.com, Guardian.co.uk and others. If that is true about your company then you must have a page like “Press Coverage” or something.

You can check right now if any of the powerful new websites mentioned your brand. To do that you need conduct a Google search similar to this one: “your company name” inurl:USAToday.com. Don’t give up if they haven’t written about you or at least mentioned you. Browse the website you are interested in and find who writes articles on the topics related to your business, try to contact the author and suggest him an interesting topic. Why not?

Create a Google Alert for your brand search queries to monitor where and what kind of information appears on the web associated with your company. In such a way you can also monitor negative feedbacks what should be responded or diluted with positive ones.
It is strongly recommended not to use fake facts when promoting ideas, it can be easily checked if the information is truth or not. Moreover, if a big name notices you claim them to be your client when they have never been, they might bring that to the public and that might bring a lot of damage to your company.

Correct Mindset is Your Best Weapon
When thinking on how to convert more visitors and earn more money, you should think not about how to fool a consumer; you should think of why your offer is really better than your competitors’ offers. Every company has something unique to offer, so decide what should be unique about your company before developing your further advertising strategies.

Search engine results are a very popular way of finding the information you need; and recently this has become easier than ever. With rich snippets making their way onto all the major search engines, you can now see additional information on the results, page info and even website ratings – all while looking at the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Companies can now share additional information to potential visitors simply by implementing these snippets into their websites; increasing the flow of traffic to their websites.

What are Rich Snippets?
Rich snippets are small pieces of additional information visible from the search engine’s results page; such as reviews, ratings and previews. For example, in the image below you will find that you can view a website’s user rating in an instant, as well as get an overview of their reviews from past users by hovering over “Reviews”.

Another example would be searching for upcoming concerts; by simply entering your search term you can view the relevant concert information along with upcoming dates in your area. Amazing! That is the power of rich snippets.

Benefits of Using Rich Snippets
Companies can benefit hugely from adding snippets to their content; and there are two main reasons for this. Firstly, you will distinguish yourself from your competition. With relevant information at a visitor’s fingertips, they are very likely to click through to your site. The more information you can give them at first glance, the better. This is a sure-fire way to build a steady stream of targeted visitors.

The second and equally important fact is that search engines will better index your website if it has proper, structured data. Submitting your site to Google and Yahoo alone simply won’t do; but giving them addition information, keyword rich and targeted – now that is a whole other ballgame. Proper crawling of your site and its content is essential if you want to stay on top of the search engine results for your niche; and rich snippets will definitely improve your local search marketing results.

Implementing Rich Snippets into Your Site
Adding rich snippets to your website can be as easy as implementing some additional markup code in your HTML. There are many types of markups that you can use, and some of the popular ones include:

schema.org

microdata

microformats

and RDFa

Although you can use any one of these mentioned above, I would suggest going with schema.org; not only is it the newest one of the group but it also has the support of Google, Microsoft (Bing) and Yahoo. Have a look at the schema.org website for more information on how to implement this into your code as well as useful tips and direction.

The main reason for implementing additional code into your site is to make it easier for search engines to index your content. You literally have to tell their search bots what your site is about, what your content means, and what content is more important and relevant to visitors.

The rich snippet markup tells the search bots which piece of your content:

is the name of the product or service

is the price

reflects the rating it has

describes who will need to use the product

how many you have in stock

etc.

How Do I Know that my Snippets are Working?
When you have implemented the code into your site you can test its functionality with Google’s Rich Snippets Testing Tool and you will be all done. Now you simply submit your site to Google, along with a few example pages. Google will then review your site and according to Matt Cutts it should take roughly a month to get indexed. They plan on reducing this review process to only a few days; but they are still working on this.
